Ben formed Performance Physiotherapy in 2003 and now works as a Lead Physiotherapist/Director within the company.


He has a BSc In Physiotherapy from Cardiff University and post graduate qualification’s including an MSc in Sports Physiotherapy from Bath University and a PgCert in Strength and Conditioning from St Mary’s University, Twickenham. Through his role as Lead Physiotherapist, he has been involved in the set up and delivery of many of Performance Physiotherapy’s services including our occupational health, primary care and private practice clinics. He also currently works as a tutor on the Sports and Exercise Medicine Course at the University of South Wales.


Ben has a special interest in sports injuries and has worked with multiple athletes from many different sports over the last 20 years. This includes over 15 year years experience working in professional rugby. Among the teams he has been involved with are: Llanelli Scarlets, Bridgend RFC, Celtic Crusaders RL, Wales RL, Wales National U20s and Wales national 7’s- where Ben was part of the management team of the World Cup winning squad in Dubai 2009. More recently, Ben’s roles include 3 years as the head Physiotherapist for the Newport Gwent Dragons has also worked with the Cardiff Blues as academy physiotherapist alongside a role at Pontypridd RFC.
